People often ask me how long have I
been working on computers, and how I got started. Well, this
is my testimony of what the Lord did for me, in getting me started
in my own business. And how He showed me that I can be a full
time wife and mother, and still make money at home!
It was not of me, that any of this
came about, but through the teachings and instructions of the Man of
God, Xmeah ShaEla'ReEl (and no, we are not Muslim). It started when my husband was working
at Burger King, and he was told by his boss that he needed to learn
to work a computer, because everything was computerized now.
So we bought a computer that Xmeah
had for sale in one of his garage sales. It was a $50 computer
and we did not know the first thing about it! The preacher
told me, Do not be afraid of the computer
and look at it like the Lord does, that it is nothing to Him, so let
it be nothing to you, too!
I still remember those wise words
he spoke to me, and I tell MANY of my customers the same thing!
We got the computer home and all we could do was turn it on and turn
it off! We did not know the first thing about it! I
laugh when I look back at that, because I remember when different
windows would open up and I did not know how to close them, so I
would just turn the computer off and turn it back on again, and all
the windows were gone! We would just start over!
But I did what the Lord said to do
(through the mouth of the Preacher), by praying and asking the Lord
for help with the computer. He began to show me things and
soon I was able to use it more and more. I tell people it did
not all come at once, but step by step. A little at a time I
was being led into something that I knew nothing about!
But then when ever I had trouble with it,
(viruses, or other trouble) I
would take it to a local computer shop and ask them to fix it for
me. Then the next step came for me, through the mouth of the
Preacher. He told me to ask the Lord for help in fixing it and
not always have to depend on another person to fix the problems I
was having with it. He said that I needed to become familiar with my
own equipment. And that I needed to learn it. So I
started to do that also! All of this was the Lord's doing
leading me every step of the way. I never knew what this would
lead up to. I never had to buy anything to fix it, because the
Lord would bless me to find things on the side of the road.
I would ask the Lord to help me to
use it and also to help me in fixing problems with it. Step by
step I was being led into something that I knew nothing about!
I had never used a computer, and never even wanted one, but this was
something that the Lord had in store for me.
The next thing that happened was
that the Lord would have me to find computers on the side of the
road, that people were throwing out. I started to get them and
take them home. When I would open them up, it reminded me of a
puzzle. There were pieces that would fit together to make it
work. Not only was the Lord blessing me to find the parts, but
also the software to install programs on it. I would take the
computer, fix it, with the help of the Lord, and then put it out for
sale in our yard sale. I used to be call "The Yard Sale Lady."
This went on for a while and it was
happening so much that people would come by and buy the
computers from me, that then they would bring their computers to me
for me to fix them! I thought it is just the same as finding a
broken computer on the side of the road and getting one from a
person to fix. So this is how the business started!
This was something that the Lord
did for me and He taught me and guided me the whole way!
I am very grateful to Him and to
the Man of God for the guidance. Because without Him, I would
never be able to do any of this! I do not say that any of this
is on my own, or because I am smart. All I can say, is that I
am smart enough to know to listen to the Lord and to listen when He
gives us instructions, through the Mouth of His ordained ministers!
I never went to school to fix computers, and as a matter of fact, I
dropped out of school in my 10th grade year, so education had
nothing to do with this. I tell people I am a living testimony
of what the Lord can do through a person if they just do what He
says to do! There is nothing that is too hard for the Lord to
do!
Because of the Lord doing this for
me, I can stay at home, and be a full time mother for the kids and I
also get to make money too! So I tell people that I have the
best of both worlds! And it is a testimony to other women, with
children, who want to stay home, that you can do it too!
The Lord gives everyone a gift that
they are to use to make money! This was something that He saw
in me, that I did not know was there! But in learning to
follow the Lord by listening to the Preacher, this is how I was able
to be guided into this!
Knowledge of all things comes from
God! It is not of our own, but He gives it freely unto His
People. This is a blessing that the Lord has given me and I
give the glory to Him. Amen!
