“Life Began For Me On 10-20-1984, The Day of My Baptism!”

1^st Day of the 23^rd Year

My Lord, how shall I praise You for this day? Open Thou my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praises! This is the day that You, O Lord set me free from sin and death, 23 years ago. This is the same as it was when You delivered Israel from under the power of Pharaoh, and commanded Israel to speak about that day that You set them free. To us as individuals, this is a particular day in our lives, that is called Abib. The day of my Baptism is (Abib) the beginning of days for me! Before my Baptism I was dead to sin and had no life in me, therefore I was Spiritually dead! But, most people have not given any significance to that day, and many don't even remember when it took place, because they do not pay attention to how important the event was for them, if they are truly baptized. Every holiday is remembered for the events that took place on that day: but, the most important day in the lives of the individuals are not remembered. People remember their first kiss, and the first time they had sex, but they do nt remember when they were Baptized! What a shame it is that the people don't remember the Lord Jesus Christ coming into their lives!

It all begun for me during the month of August 1984 on the 25^th day, that I rose up that morning, after having done all of my sin the night before, that the Lord God put it in my heart to be disgusted with what I had done the night before! I did not know anything about the Lord, I had only heard of Him! But the Lord took it upon Himself to do this for me! I knew nothing about calling upon the Lord, nor having to confess my sins, but all of these things the Lord took upon Himself to cause me to do! That morning when I got up and walked into my front room, and remembered all the sin that had taken place and the mess that was there, I became very disgusted! It was a feeling that I had never experienced before about those (sins) things that I liked doing! My mouth came open with great disgust and I began to speak unto the Lord about being tired of living like that, tired of sleeping with so many different men, even married men! Then I asked the Lord to give me a husband, someone who would love me. Little did I know at that time as to what to say to the Lord or even how to confess my sins. But, what I acknowledge is that the Lord accepted the words of my mouth at that time, and knew that I was sorry! This took place on a Saturday morning. That following Wednesday I meet the messenger Xmeah who was visiting with his sister who was my neighbour and friend. The messenger Xmeah was a total stranger to me, but I had heard that he was a preacher. I meet him that Wednesday on my way to the store, because I stopped by his sister's house to see if she needed something from the store. Then the messenger Xmeah paid me a visit that following Friday. He came to my apartment, and he spoke to me in the Word of the Lord, and we talked about me and the sinful life that I was living, and about a sickness that my baby son had. I mentioned to him about how I had confessed to being an adulterer. Little did I know about certain kinds of sin, but he explained to me that I was living in fornication, not adultery. I told him that I had been Baptized when I was 7 or 8 years old. But, he explained to me what true Baptism was, and that God did not accept that as my Baptism at that age, because I had no acknowledgment of any sins, to confess to. Therefore, I had a need to be Baptized! On October 20, 1984 that morning I was taken to San Jacinto River outside of Houston, Texas. It was a very cloudy morning. When we arrived, there were people out there fishing. A man came up and told the messenger Xmeah that there was a drop off at the end of the boat ramp. All those who stood around witnessed I was Baptized that day for the remission of all my past sins! Every sin that I had committed was washed away that day, and I received Life, who is the Lord Jesus Christ into my life! I became a new creature in Christ Jesus! After we got home, the messenger Xmeah told me that I needed to be anointed with oil, and to take the communion, and he performed those things upon me. I remember standing in the front room of our apartment! I say our, because I married the messenger Xmeah on September 4, 1984. Therefore, he was now my pastor and my husband! I noticed that the sun was shinning very bright after returning home! As I stood in the front room looking out of the window, I saw a cloud in the form of a young dear, running, and joy just filled my heart! I had never seen anything like it before! I smiled with amazement!

It amazes me, because I did not know that I had to bring to God a heart meet for repentance, and neither did I know that I had to feel sorry for all of the evil I did to people! But, this is how I felt that morning when I was confessing what I had done! I remember not confessing to the Lord what people had done to me, but what I did to people! Even though I did not understand what I had truly done to the souls of the men I committed fornication with, yet I was caused to be disgusted with the evil I had done! All Glory, Honor and Praise go to the Lord my God! This is a time I can say, that the Lord took control over what was going on with me, when I look back at these events that took place! Sending the messenger Xmeah to me to explain to me what I needed to do, and giving him to ask me to be his wife was all of the Lord! And most of all, to tell me what I needed to do, and to perfom the Baptism, anointing with oil, and taking of the communion! There is no way that the darkness would cause me to become disgusted with the sins and evil I was doing, and neither would the darkness cause me to ask for a husband! So, the Lord sent me the help which He knew I needed to complete what He had begun with me, but low and behold, I never thought that the one whom He had sent would also be my pastor and husband! So, I cherish my Baptism, and the gift which the Lord Jesus Christ has given to me, according to His Word. When He said; that He gave gifts unto me, some Apostle, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Pastors and some Teachers! This is what the Lord my God has done for me! Blessed are You, O Lord God! Thank You for a Mighty Deliverance from sin and death, which You delivered me from! All Glory go to You, my Lord! Thank You, O Lord God, for Xmeah and for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Amen!
